Doyle by 1 Point over Green in New Poll
A new poll shows Mark Green only one point behind Gov. Doyle. This is a huge difference from the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute which had Doyle up by 12 points.
I'll need to review the specifics of the polls to see its trust-worthiness.

More Interesting Poll Numbers
Two new polls came out last week and were reported over the weekend. One involved an increase in those who support a statewide smoking ban; the second involves a decrease in those who support a marriage amendment. The polls seem to be faulty in that they only phone sampled 600 people over two days, June 18-19th (Fathers' Day Weekend).
I'll report more in detail on this.

I Can't Even Think of a Post Title for This.....
I find this to be embarrassing (not to mention highly unpatriotic).

Feingold Appeases the Fringe Left
As the only Senator to vote against the Patriot Act in 2001 and was one of 4 to vote against the renewal last week, you would think he couldn't move further out on the fringe of reality? GUESS AGAIN! Sen. Feingold on This Week with George Stephonopolis announced that would introduce a resolution to censure President Bush over the NSA surveillance program.
Besides the obvious failure to understand we are at war, the severity of the War on Terror and the law and a President's authority as Commander-in-Chief. Feingold, in this idiotic move, is trying to rally the extreme fringe leftist nuts. This is an attempt to emulate Howard Dean in 2004; Feingold is anticipated to make a run for the presidency in '08.
A good analysis is posted over at Captain's Quarter: "Feingold goes off the Reservation.

A Vote on Marriage
The Wisconsin State Legislature just voted to allow the citizens of the state to vote on a constitutional amendment to protect marriage as between one man and one woman. This amendment is very important to the health of our nation and to families. Study after study shows children raised with a man and woman grow up healthier and more financially secure.
Critics of this amendment will try to argue, disingenuous at that, that this is a hate amendment. Nothing of the sort! They'll also try to make this a "civil rights" argument; comparison to the civil rights fights of the 50's and 60's. But there is NO COMPARISON! 1). Gays are NOT looked as an inferior race; 2). Gays are not "forced" to attend different schools, drink from different water fountains, and use separate facilities; 3). Prohibited or discriminated from owning homes, living together, having their partners assets in a death (no area of law prohibits one from passing their assets to whom they see fit, a lie the gay community wants you to believe) getting medical treatments and a host of other issues blacks and others faced in our country's short history.

A New Journey!
Today, I started a new blog, WI POL GUY to focus on the issues facing Wisconsin. Admittedly, this is a right-of center, right-of-right site. Yet, I'll try to be fair to both parties when necessary.
